Topic 4 Acceptance of the minutes of the last meeting in Stockholm. The minutes
were accepted by the participants. |

Topic 5 2nd European Weathering Symposium
(former “Danubian Talks”) 3th European Weathering Symposium Next EWS will
take place in Krakow, Poland, we are looking for a co-organizer at the
Polytechnica in Krakow. (www.ew-symposium.de or www.weathering.org). |

Topic 6Eureka Proposal BESTPRODUCT TENEEST At the moment
13 Partners are willing to participate in the proposal. The draft is nearly
ready. Only one administrative form missed. This document will be send to
Francois next week. After submission of the proposal to the Belgium EUREKA office the
Eureka Number will be given to the proposal. The proposal will be distributed
to the other national contact bureaus and then the partners should be
contacted their national contact bureau. They have to fill in to additional
forms, declaring the budget, and the financing of the budget. |

Topic 7 Presentation from Dr. Hannelore Römich, COST Bureau Brussels The Presentation was
given to all 3 TABs. The participants agree that the Cost actions are a good
platform for CEEES to invite new participants and to get additional financing
for traveling and meeting. The ideas for Actions should be collected. May be
two or three Actions are possible for CEEES to start this activities and get
experience with this instrument. Thomas Reichert should start with the
Polymer degradation topic to make a proposal for an action. |

Topic 8 Information
about the national activities of the national working groups: GUS: Meetings
of GUS WG Elektronic Reliability and Numerical Environmental Engineering,
CEEES Conference in Nuremberg BSMEE:
Re-organization in three sections of BSMEE: Robotics,
Standardisation/Normalization in Mechanics, and BEST. Best have started
activities in the topic Sustainability in buildings. SVU: The
society is preparing the invitation to the annual fall meeting; topics will
be related to soldering problems. SEES: The
Swedish working group climatic and air pollution organize a symposium on life
time prediction for corrosion, 6th April. The SEES participate in a project for the design of products by a
total approach. |

Topic 9 Discussion
about further activities: Numerical
Simulation: The TAB will be interested in having a working group for
numerical simulation, if this group will grow up then they will be a
candidate for a new TAB (but the people have to come to CEEES, this should be
sure). Nothing
was heard about the reaction of the IEST concerning the best practice reviews. |
