Topic 7

Presentation from Dr. Hannelore Römich, COST Bureau Brussels
European COoperation in the Field of Scientific and Technical Research
- Introduction about COST
- Rules and procedures for implementing cost actions

The Presentation was given to all 3 TABs. The participants agree that the Cost actions are a good platform for CEEES to invite new participants and to get additional financing for traveling and meeting. The ideas for Actions should be collected. May be two or three Actions are possible for CEEES to start this activities and get experience with this instrument. Thomas Reichert should start with the Polymer degradation topic to make a proposal for an action.

Topic 9 Discussion about further activities:

Numerical Simulation: The TAB will be interested in having a working group for numerical simulation, if this group will grow up then they will be a candidate for a new TAB (but the people have to come to CEEES, this should be sure).

Nothing was heard about the reaction of the IEST concerning the best practice reviews.
