CEEES WORKSHOP- BRUSSELS November 4th 2004

“WHICH POLYMERS ARE BIODEGRADABLE ?”

(Conclusions for the organic recovery of packaging waste)

A scientific debate with practical implications covering topics such as:

-theoretical explanations and experimental results of degradation studies

-what does hydro-and oxobiodegrable really means?

         -biodegradability versus compostability

         -application studies:digester facilities,composting,littering

-which degradability is suited for packaging waste recovery?

-conclusions for waste treatment strategies with respect to European

           Packaging Directive

-information management:consumer’s confidence and the biowaste option

This CEEES workshop is organised by GUS with the support of the Landesvertretung Baden-Würtemberg.
